CPS Members,
We are not an "Elitist Camera Club". We welcome everyone, and we want you to bring in your prints for the print critique. So there you go, " What the Duck".
Meeting reminder for this Wednesday, March 7th at 7:30 at the U of C in the Kinesiology building in room KNB-133.
The speaker for the month is Hiro Kobayashi. This is a bit of what Hiro will talk on:
I have been using rangefinder cameras for over 20 years. I learned so many things through this type of the camera. Rangefinder camera is primitive but ...or I believe that is why it helps developing originality more quickly than modern auto cameras. I will talk about mechanism, and advantages and disadvantages of the rangefinder cameras. Also I would like to discuss about my thought of developing originality and artistic view, starting from approaching to a subject with A LENS IN YOUR HAND, to learning from master photographers. The points I will talk about are somewhat basic but important issues, which may be forgotten by getting used to modern technologies such as zoom lenses and auto focus.
Please bring in your prints for the print critique. This months theme is LEAP. You can also bring in a print in the open category.
It seems we are in photo competition month. I have received a few emails in regards to some photo competitions. Here are the links:
